Walmart New Logo Losses The Hyphen

I’m probably late to the party with this piece of news but it seems Walmart is reinventing their logo once again. For those folks who haven’t been to the US, Walmart is basically one of the best and worst supermarkets in America, and it’s not a place where you can buy some walls (Thanks Paris Hilton). The new design losses the start hyphen in the middle but it gains a burst of sunlight at the end. Personally, I love the new design but the old one kinda has the “American feel” that we are all comfortable with. For those who are thirsty for a history lesson regarding Walmart logos, check the image below:

    I like the old ones better. The latest one looks like a sunblock brand logo.

  2. Funny post, I laughed all the way through it.
    I try to keep my sinning at the altar of Walmart down to four times a year.
    Why don’t they just get it over with and use “WAL$MART” for their logo? Or if they prefer “WAL $ MART,” would work too I am sure. How about “WAL ๐Ÿ˜› MART?”

  4. Or they could follow the lead of VeggieTales’ jab by calling itself “Stuff-Mart.”

  6. Love it or hate it. Endorse it or protest it. Its cheap:P I hate them for it but everything is cheaper there then anywhere else, unless Zellers (Canadian Retailer) has a sale. As long as the prices dont change with the logo we are good to go in my case!

    @Tricia

    I’m glad you enjoyed the post Tricia. Yup, Wal$Mart works quite perfect, just like Micro$oft.

    @Marzouq

    Hahaha I see the resemblance :p

    @Gunny93

    That’s a brilliant and convenient idea LOL

    @Sarah

    Yeah, jokes aside, it does look good.

    @Lily

    Good point. Let’s hope the money the pay for the designing team doesn’t extend to our own pockets. Expect anything from Walmart.
